Hi (insert firstname),
Mental health charity Mind have launched their annual Big Mental Health Survey. They want to hear from you. Share your experience today.
Everyone has mental health and we all need to take care of it. But if you go through a period of poor mental health you might find the ways you're frequently thinking, feeling or reacting become difficult, or even impossible, to cope with. That's when you might go to your GP or somewhere like Mind to look for support.
And that's what the Big Mental Health Survey is trying to understand. They want to know what mental health care is like for people. If you’ve tried to get support for your mental health in the last 12 months, whether through your GP, nurse or a voluntary organisation like Mind, they want to hear from you.
Why is the survey important?
The findings from the survey help us and other organisations like Mind focus our work to make sure everyone is getting the right support for their mental health when they need it.They are also shared with researchers, policy makers and mental health service providers so they know how they can improve mental health care too.
How do I take part?
You can take the survey online or get in touch with Mind for a paper version (insert contact details). You just have to be 16 years old or older and have tried to seek support for your mental health in the last 12 months. They even want to know if you’ve tried to access services but haven’t been able to.
If you have any issues or questions, you can call Freephone 0800 197 5273 and someone will be able to help you. If you’re currently struggling with getting support for your mental health problem, take a look at Mind's online information. They’ve also got some useful information about talking to your GP.
