Who we are
Get to know Mind
Every year, one in four people will experience a mental health problem.
What do we do?
We’re Mind, the mental health charity. We’re here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
At least one in six workers experiences a common mental health problem, including anxiety and depression, and work is the biggest cause of stress in people's lives. We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.
Our Workplace Wellbeing Services team provides support for employers, such as mental health awareness training as well as bench-marking and best practice advice through our Workplace Wellbeing Index.
For every £1 spent by employers on supporting employees' mental health, employers will receive £5 back in reduced absenteeism and staff turnover.
Deloitte & Employers, January 2020
Why do we do it?
Mental health in the workplace is a very important but under-informed topic. Not everyone experiencing a mental health problem at work has access to the support they require, and managers can lack the confidence to provide support for their staff.
How can the Workplace Wellbeing Services team support you?

Managing mental health at work
Our Managing mental health at work course complements our Mental health awareness at work module. Both courses include best practice guidance and tips from our mental health and workplace wellbeing resources.
This course is for people managers and emphasises the importance of looking after yours and your employees' mental health. Each module, of a total of four, encourages greater awareness of mental health in the workplace and builds confidence in supporting staff at different stages. Each section promotes and equips learners to be proactive, effective and responsible when managing people.
The course lasts approximately 1.5 hours in total with each module lasting between 15 to 25 minutes. All four modules can be hosted on your LMS or we can provide access for you through our managed LMS. We recommend modules be completed sequentially and learning from each module is implemented before moving on to the next.
