About our federation in Wales
The Mind Federation is made up of three distinct parts, including:
Mind, the mental health charity and national organisation gives information, advice and support to anyone experiencing poor mental health. Mind also campaigns to improve services, change policy, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.
Mind Retail operates charity shops in over 160 communities across England and Wales, raising valuable funds to support the work of Mind and local Minds.
The local Mind network provides support and services at the heart of their communities through more than 100 independent organisations that reach 443,000 people annually.
How does this look in Wales?
Mind Cymru is Mind in Wales. We aim to make sure everyone in Wales has access to the mental health information, support, and services they need. We are here to make sure no-one in Wales faces a mental health problem alone.
We use insight to champion and advocate for change in Welsh policy, reduce stigma, and provide life-changing support at a national, regional, and local level.
We also provide strategic direction, insight, and support to the rest of Mind so our work in Wales is effective – building reputation and trust, so we can fund and deliver Mind’s strategic ambitions in Wales.
We work hand in hand with our network of 16 local Minds, independent charities anchored in the heart of their communities. Reaching all corners of Wales, we give support and guidance to help reach every person in Wales with a mental health problem.
