The CIPD has published a revised mental health guide written in collaboration with Mind, and designed to help managers support employee mental health.
Revision to this free guide follows recent CIPD research which found that less than one in three organisations train line-managers in supporting staff with poor mental health.
The guide contains information, templates and advice covering the life-cycle of employment, from how to spot the warning signs of stress to how to help staff returning from sickness absence. It is hoped that this guide will equip line managers with the tools to effectively and confidently support employees.
