Burnout isn’t technically a diagnosis, but instead refers to a collection of symptoms. You may feel exhausted, have little motivation for your job, feel irritable or anxious and you may see a dip in your work performance.
Take your annual leave: A lot of us aren’t taking leave during the pandemic, but regular breaks help us to feel refreshed.
Make sure you are getting good sleep: If you're having problems sleeping, please see our sleep tips.
Ask for help: Let somebody know how you are feeling. Your manager may be willing to adjust your workload or hours if you're feeling very stressed out.
Schedule in things which bring you joy: Make time for relaxing and your hobbies.
Try to finish on time if you can: Without the commute home, it’s easy to work into the evening but try to avoid this.
